How to Get & Use Seething Opal in Diablo 4: Explained

If you’re done with the Vessel of Hatred or figuring out how to change your character’s hair, then it’s time to start farming for Seething Opal in Diablo 4. Season 6 is here, and with it comes new features! This season, called the “Season of Hatred Rising,” offers some exciting rewards like the Seething Opals. These are special items that can boost your gameplay, but they are limited, so you’ll want to collect as many as possible.

Here’s a guide on how to farm and use Seething Opal rewards in Diablo 4 Season 6.

Even if you don’t have the Vessel of Hatred expansion, you can still get Seething Opals in Diablo 4. They are powerful Elixirs that can improve your luck and progress in the game. You can find them in the Consumables tab of your Inventory.

Seething Opals work like Elixirs, but they only last for 30 minutes. This means you need to use them wisely. Here are the different types of Seething Opals you can find in Diablo 4 Season 6:

Seething Opal TypeEffect (on top of +15% increased Experience)
Seething Opal of EquipmentEnemies drop more Equipment
Seething Opal of GoldEnemies drop more Gold
Seething Opal of MaterialsEnemies drop more Herbs/Crafting Materials
Seething Opal of SocketablesEnemies drop more Gem Fragments/Runes
Seething Opal of TormentEnemies drop more Artificier’s Stones/Boss Summoning Items/Infernal Compass

Each type gives you a different advantage for focused farming. However, like Elixirs, you can only use one Seething Opal at a time. Some, like the Socketables and Torment, are only available in higher difficulty levels of Diablo 4.

You can find Seething Opal in the new Hatred Rising event, which appears on the map every 15 minutes. The event is simple: follow a giant Realmwalker, defeat enemies, and then enter a mini-dungeon called the Seething Realm.

Completing the event will reward you with one or more Seething Opals. To succeed, it’s best to use a class or build that can clear dungeons quickly and move fast. Here are some recommendations:

  • Lightning Spear Sorcerer
  • Ranged Rogue build
  • Eagle Spiritborn

If you have the Vessel of Hatred expansion, you might find two Hatred Rising events at once—one in the main regions and one in Nahantu. If you finish the first event quickly, you can try to complete the second one, doubling your Seething Opal rewards.

Once you have your Seething Opal in Diablo 4, make sure to use them efficiently. You have 30 minutes to make the most of their benefits, so farm as much as you can during that time.
