Where to Find Hades in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To find Hades, you must have the Storybook Vale DLC, as he is not available in the base game. You also need to complete the initial missions with Merida and the Lorekeeper, which are “Welcome to the Storybook Vale” and “A New Chapter.” These missions will give you the Net, help you progress the story, and allow you to collect Story Magic. Story Magic is similar to Dreamlight and is needed to unlock new areas in the DLC.
Hades is located in the Elysian Fields, which you can access by spending 2,000 Story Magic. This area has a Mount Olympus theme, complete with ancient columns and pegasus. Once you enter, a cinematic will start, leading to new quests.
A Land of Myths and Legends Mission
Upon entering the Elysian Fields, you will begin the quest “A Land of Myths and Legends” with Merida. This quest is crucial for finding and unlocking Hades in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Follow these steps:
- Explore the Elysian Fields: As you explore, you will find a Greek-style kiosk. Approach it.

- Return to the Trial Entrance: Once you have the two flames, place them on the bracelets on either side of the kiosk to activate the Net mechanism.

Entering the portal reveals where Hades has been trapped. He will be standing next to a cart full of vessels and will ask for your help to move them.
- Follow Hades: Use your net to move the bridge and pass the stairs to the next mechanism.
- Lower the Lever: Lower the bridge, break the rocks, and hit the mechanism to open the gate. Then, push the cart.
- Follow Hades Under the Stairs: Fish the bridge to pass, hit the Net mechanism, and align it with the stairs.
- Lower the Next Levers and Bridges: Reach the next mechanism to open the gates. Return to the last lever, pull it up to raise the bridge, and push the cart to the end of the trial.
- Follow Hades to the Fire with Ink: Purify the ink to exit.
After completing these steps, both you and Hades will return to the Elysian Fields. Here, you will unlock his Lair, and Hades will ask you to place it somewhere in Storybook Vale. It will cost 10,000 Coins to make Hades your neighbor.
