To kick things off, hop into a boat and head straight to Roslit Bay. Be super careful when you get off your boat because the lava is dangerous. To make things easier, visit the Beach Keeper to set your spawn point at Roslit Bay. This way, if you mess up, you can respawn nearby.
You’ll start the event quest with Dr. Finneus. He’s located between the docks and the lighthouse, a bit into the lava water, on a boat with a crane. He’ll tell you that the fish are acting weird and look different.
How to Complete Dr. Finneus’s Quest in Roblox Fisch
Dr. Finneus has a simple task for you: catch a fish from the nearby waters. You can even drop your fishing line right off the side of his boat! Just make sure the fish you catch is related to lava. Look for fish like Cinder, Scooty, Ember, Pyro, Lava, Blistered, Molten, and Ashcloud.
These aren’t just random names; the fish you catch will have names like Lava Lamprey, Ember Catfish, or Blistered Eel. You don’t need a special fishing rod to catch these fish, so even the Flimsy Rod will work, though you might not catch anything great with it.
Once you bring the fish back to Dr. Finneus, you’ll earn the title of Volcanic Helper and get the Volcanic Research Boat. This boat is super fast, reaching a max speed of 135 S/ps, and it steers well. If you’re new to fishing, you’ll want to grab this boat right away. Plus, just by taking part in the Ashfall event, you’ll also earn the Volcanic Explorer title.
