Among the set of pre-made characters players can choose from in Elden Ring Nightreign are Nightfarers. Each one has their own special skills and a personal story quest called a Remembrance. The Nightreign Executor is one of these Nightfarers, and his questline is both fun and rewarding.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to how to get Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign.

How to Get Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign

Step 1: Unlock the Journal

Before you can start the Executor’s Remembrance quest, you need to unlock the Journal. The Journal is found in the Roundtable Hold. To unlock it, just finish any Expedition—win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to use the Journal to travel back in time and play through your character’s memories.

Step 2: Collect Memory Fragments

To progress in the Remembrance questline, you need Memory Fragments. You get these by finishing Expeditions. If you beat the Nightlord at the end of an Expedition, you’ll always get a Memory Fragment. Sometimes, even if you fail, you might get one, but that only works early in the questline. Later on, you’ll have to win to keep moving forward.

Once you have the Journal and some Memory Fragments, interact with the Journal at the Roundtable Hold. This lets you start the Remembrance. When you begin, you’ll travel back in time, but you can leave and return to the present whenever you want. If you die or fail, you’ll also come back to the present. To continue, just use the Journal again.

After starting, you’ll respawn in the Roundtable Hold. Check the Journal for your next goal. First, talk to the Guardian in the same room and select “Affirm.” Then, go to the main hall and talk to the Priestess. She’ll explain Personal Objectives, which are new points of interest in Expeditions.

Step 3: Executor’s Remembrance Quest – Chapter 2

The first part of the Nightreign Executor quest unlocks in Chapter 2 of the Journal. Your job is to start any Expedition and collect Blessed Flowers. When you land, look for an orange icon on your map. That’s where the flowers are. But it’s not as easy as just picking them up—a boss is guarding them.

When you get close, a Stray Bloodhound Knight will invade. The fight is tough because the boss uses two Bleed weapons and the area is tight, with cliffs and rocks all around. Watch out for quick attacks from both hands. Be patient and time your moves.

After you beat the boss, pick up the flowers. The boss won’t drop any loot, just Runes. Once you have the flowers, finish the Expedition or leave—it doesn’t matter. Back at the Roundtable Hold, talk to the Priestess. She’ll tell you to give the flowers to Iron Menial.

Go to the room with the merchant jar, find the door, and head outside. Iron Menial is standing by a painting. Give him the flowers, then interact with the painting. A spell will appear—touch it to finish the quest. You’ll get two rewards: Executor’s Chalice and Blessed Flower Relic.

Step 4: Executor’s Remembrance Quest – Chapter 6

After finishing the first quest, you’ll unlock more Journal pages up to Chapter 5. The next part of the quest is in Chapter 6. You’ll need more Memory Fragments, so keep playing Expeditions and beating Nightlords.

When you start the Chapter 6 Remembrance, talk to the Priestess again. This time, you need to collect a Golden Sprout. Start an Expedition and head to the marker. You’ll fight an Erdtree Avatar. This boss is slower than the Bloodhound Knight, but don’t get too close. Beat the boss, grab the Golden Sprout, and return to the Roundtable Hold.

Before giving the Golden Sprout to the Priestess, visit the Relic Rite to equip anything you need for the next fight. When you’re ready, talk to the Priestess. She’ll send you back in time for a final battle against the Executor’s nemesis—a copy of the Executor himself, with the same weapons you use.

Step 6: Finish the Executor’s Remembrance

After you win the fight against the Executor’s Cry, look for a glowing light in the air. Follow it to a small house and go inside to watch the final scene. This ends the Executor’s Remembrance questline.

When you return to the Roundtable Hold, you’ll get the Remembrance skin for the Executor. You can equip it at the Garb in the Hold. Interact with the conclusion spell to return to the present and get the Golden Sprout relic. If you want to know more about the story, check the Journal one last time to read the documents in Chapter 7.
