Finding the Vault of Inceptus in Borderlands 4
You’ll start picking up Vault signals when exploring Kairos. To save you some time, the Vault of Inceptus is located north of Wyclef’s Reprieve Safehouse, close to the facility tied to the “A Lot To Process” story mission. From there, follow the golden marker on your map to reach the exact spot.
How to Unlock the Vault
Even if you find the location, you won’t be able to enter right away. You’ll need three Vault Key Fragments first. These can be collected by clearing out Silos scattered across the map. Each cleared Silo reveals a yellow circle on your map, pointing to where a fragment can be found. Once you’ve gathered all three pieces, return to the Vault entrance and unlock it.
What to Expect Inside
Once inside, the Vault plays out like a gauntlet. You’ll fight through a few waves of familiar enemies. The first two rooms are pretty easy, but the third area might throw a mini-boss at you. For example, we faced a floating crystal enemy that required breaking the crystals on its body before it could take damage. Nothing too tough — the real test comes at the end.
How to Beat Inceptus – The Vault Guardian
Inceptus is the main boss of this Vault and it’s no pushover. To damage it, focus on breaking off the plates on its body, which reveal weak points. Using fire weapons helps a lot here, so Incendiary guns are highly recommended.
At certain points, Inceptus floods the arena with poison, forcing you to climb up to platforms above the battlefield to stay safe. This also forces the boss out of its cocoon, giving you another opening to attack.
Inceptus Boss Moves and Tips
Inceptus mostly relies on ranged blasts and tail strikes, both of which can easily take you down in one hit if you’re not careful. Luckily, smaller enemies spawn during the fight, giving you chances for Second Wind revives if you fall. Stay mobile, aim for weak spots, and use fire damage whenever possible.
