If you’re tired to killing a Leaper or finding a Field Depot, you can look for the ARC Raiders Power Rod, a rare Exodus material you’re gonna need to complete the Tribute to Toledo quest. You usually only see it when crafting Heavy Shields or Snap Hooks, so it’s easy to have no idea where to find one when Celeste suddenly asks for it. The Power Rod does come in handy as it can be used to open the locked door near the Loading Bay on Dam Battlegrounds.
Here’s our guide on the best ARC Raiders Power Rod location, plus how to get one through recycling and crafting.
Side note: Before you head out, bring a safe pocket. The area where you’ll be looting is often hostile, with both Raiders and enemies nearby. A safe pocket lets you stash the Power Rod the moment you pick it up, so you don’t lose it if things go sideways. If you get the Power Rod by crafting or recycling instead, you can skip the danger completely and hand it to Celeste right away to finish Tribute to Toledo.
Best ARC Raiders Power Rod Location

The most reliable ARC Raiders Power Rod location is the Power Generation Complex in the northeast section of Dam Battlegrounds. When the quest is active, Celeste even hints that the best place to find one is near the Generator Halls in that area.
Open your Dam Battlegrounds map and look toward the northeast. You should see the Generator Halls area, and right next to it is the Power Generation Complex. You might remember this place from the Flickering Threat quest. It’s a rough neighborhood: players often fight over the area, and a Rocketeer patrols a nearby extraction point, so expect trouble.
Head inside the complex and move into the tunnels. Your main goal is the large room filled with terminals and industrial machinery. In this space, and in some of the surrounding tunnels, you’ll see large electrical cabinets you can breach and loot.
These cabinets are the main containers that can drop an ARC Raiders Power Rod. Search every cabinet you can find in the big room and the side corridors. This spot offers the highest natural chance of getting the Power Rod you need for Tribute to Toledo.
Once you find one, stash it in your safe pocket immediately. That way, even if the Rocketeer decides you look flammable, your quest item survives.
How to Get a Power Rod by Recycling

If the Power Generation Complex is a war zone or your luck is terrible, you can also obtain an ARC Raiders Power Rod by recycling specific gear. Two items break down into a Power Rod:
- Snap Hook (legendary)
- Heavy Shield
If you’re lucky enough to have a spare Snap Hook, you can scrap it for a Power Rod. One Snap Hook is available in the Ninja Pack on page four of the Raider Deck, so check your collection; you might already own one. A spare Heavy Shield works too if you’re willing to sacrifice it.
Recycling is a great option if you don’t feel like diving into a contested ARC Raiders Power Rod location or if you already play heavily with legendary gear and have backups.
How to Craft a Power Rod (Level 3 Refiner)

There’s also a completely controlled, PvE‑friendly way to get an ARC Raiders Power Rod: crafting. To do this, you need a level 3 Refiner. Once your Refiner hits level three, you can create a Power Rod using:
- 2× Advanced Electrical Components
- 2× Arc Circuitry
With those materials on hand, open the Refiner, select the Power Rod recipe, and craft it. No firefights, no Rocketeers, no panic extractions. This method is perfect for late‑game or well‑established players who have a strong stockpile of components and prefer reliability over risk.
What to Do with the ARC Raiders Power Rod
Once you finally secure an ARC Raiders Power Rod, whether from the Power Generation Complex, recycling, or crafting, your next step depends on your progress.
If you are still on Tribute to Toledo, simply return to Celeste and deliver the Power Rod. That completes the quest and closes out this part of your progression.
