The upcoming Call of Duty game is already looking like one of the biggest games in the series, and CoD players want to know all the new Black Ops 6 changes made by the developers. These updates will also be part of Warzone changes, making it even more interesting. The blend of Warzone 1’s style with the new features from Black Ops 6, like Omnimovement, promises a lot of significant improvements.
Here’s a look at all the Black Ops 6 changes and Warzone changes you can expect.
Black Ops 6 Changes
Pick-3 Perk System
The perk system from Modern Warfare 2 has been in Warzone for two years, but Black Ops 6 is shaking things up. The new Pick-3 perk system allows players to choose three base abilities. Many perks have been updated, making your choices more strategic. You can also find and stack extra perks on the ground in Black Ops 6 Warzone. For example, if you have Tempered, Ghost, and Birdseye, you might find Double Time on the ground and add it to your loadout. With the Specialist perk, you can stack as many perks as you find.
Omni Movement
The new Omnimovement system lets you sprint, dive, and slide in any direction. This feature, debuting in Black Ops 6, gives players more freedom to move around, changing the game’s pace. It will be especially important in Warzone, where the time-to-kill (TTK) is slower.
Loot System and Backpack
Warzone is bringing back the loot system from its first version. Your backpack will have only one slot per item, meaning you can’t carry multiple Killstreaks or self-revives. This change aims to make the game fairer.
New Resurgence Map
Treyarch is introducing a new Resurgence map called Area 99, inspired by the iconic Nuketown map. This map will be available when Black Ops 6 launches, allowing 40 players to battle in a small, chaotic setting. Verdansk is set to return in 2025, and Warzone BR Ranked Play will launch later this year with the Urzikestan map.
Body Shield
A fun new feature is using enemies as human shields during execution moves. This adds a new layer of strategy and fun, especially with proximity chat. You can even use a “Shhhh..” emote on a downed opponent.
Wildcards
Wildcards, a classic feature from Black Ops, are coming to Warzone. This new loadout option lets players choose one Wildcard, offering special abilities like an extra perk, two primary weapons, or eight attachments on a gun.
Warzone Changes – What Happens to MW2/MW3 Weapons?
There’s some concern about what will happen to MW2 and MW3 weapons. Typically, only weapons from the latest game are used, but with Wildcards, you can enhance older weapons with up to eight attachments. However, some weapons might be nerfed. Fans hope favorites like the Kar98k will still be usable after Black Ops 6 launches.
New Camo Grind
Black Ops 6 Warzone will introduce a new camo grind, exclusive to the battle royale mode. Players can earn unique camos by playing Warzone, adding eight more to their collection alongside Zombies and Multiplayer.
