Destiny 2 Guardian Games Guide

The Guardian Games 2025 will run for three weeks, starting on March 11, 2025, and ending on April 1, 2025. The event begins and ends at 9 AM PT, so make sure to mark your calendar and set reminders to participate in all the activities before it’s over.

How to Start the Guardian Games Event

To join the Guardian Games, head to the Tower Courtyard and speak with Eva Levante. You’ll easily spot her thanks to the event decorations surrounding her. Once you find Eva, she’ll give you the Best in Show quest, which serves as the introduction to the event. Completing this quest will unlock the ability to start earning medallions, which are key to helping your class win the competition.

Rushdown Mode

The highlight of the Guardian Games 2025 is the brand-new Rushdown Mode, which replaces the usual Nightfall activity during the event. In Rushdown, players face waves of enemies and familiar bosses in quick succession. Each run consists of five encounters, and your performance is judged based on your total boss kills and score.

Rushdown Mode offers three difficulty levels:

  • Warm-Up: The easiest mode, great for casual players.
  • Standard: A balanced challenge with better rewards.
  • Expert: The hardest mode, with the best loot but tougher modifiers.

The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards, but you’ll also face modifiers that make the encounters more challenging. Completing a run quickly will improve your loot quality, so speed is key. As long as you finish at least three encounters in any mode, you’ll receive a weapon drop. However, higher scores in Standard and Expert modes increase your chances of getting enhanced perks for your Guardian Games weapons.

New and Returning Weapons

The Guardian Games 2025 introduces new weapons and brings back some fan favorites. Here’s the full list of weapons you can earn during the event:

  • Keraunios (New): Arc Trace Rifle
  • Hullabaloo: Arc Grenade Launcher
  • Taraxippos: Strand Scout Rifle
  • The Title: Void Submachine Gun

These weapons are tied to event activities, so participating in Rushdown Mode and depositing medallions will give you the best chance to collect them. Each weapon comes with unique perks, making them valuable additions to your arsenal.

Guardian Games 2025 Armor Sets

One of the most exciting parts of the Guardian Games is the new armor sets, and this year’s designs are inspired by Greek Gods and Goddesses. Each class gets its own themed set, which can be purchased from the in-game store using Silver or Bright Dust. Here’s what’s available:

  • Titan: Ares Armor
  • Warlock: Athena Armor
  • Hunter: Apollo Armor

These armor sets are some of the best designs we’ve seen in the Guardian Games, so if you have the currency to spare, they’re worth picking up.

Tips for the Guardian Games

To make the most of the Guardian Games, here are a few tips:

  1. Collect and Deposit Medallions Daily: Medallions are the key to helping your class win the event. Earn them by completing activities like Rushdown Mode, Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible, then deposit them at the Tower Podium.

  2. Focus on Rushdown Mode: This new activity is the best way to earn high-value rewards, including weapons with enhanced perks. Try higher difficulties for better loot, but don’t forget to bring a strong fireteam.

  3. Check the Store for Rewards: If you’re interested in the Greek God-inspired armor sets, keep an eye on the in-game store. You can use Bright Dust to purchase them if you don’t want to spend real money.

  4. Represent Your Class: Whether you’re a Titan, Warlock, or Hunter, every medallion you deposit helps your class climb the leaderboard. Work together with your fellow Guardians to secure victory.
