Learning how to get Double Jump in Silksong isn’t as easy as configuring the keyboard controls. The 2D platformer by Team Cherry is longer than the original game, Hornet doesn’t begin her journey in Pharloom with many skills. Just like in the first game, you’ll slowly unlock more abilities as you explore. Early moves like Dash and Silkspear come quickly, but advanced ones such as Wall Jump and Double Jump in Silksong take much longer.
The Double Jump is tied to the Faydown Cloak, and unlocking it is one of the toughest challenges in the game. Here’s how to get Double Jump in Silksong.
Where to Get Double Jump in Silksong

To unlock the Faydown Cloak, which gives Hornet the Double Jump in Silksong, you need to climb all the way to the peak of Mount Fay. This climb is extremely difficult because:
- There are very few benches, so falling means starting over.
- Enemies are scarce, which makes healing difficult.
- Mount Fay is freezing, and Hornet will take cold damage if she lingers too long outside warm spots.
Because of these challenges, you must move carefully and make as few mistakes as possible. Having the Ascendant’s Grip skill also helps, as it lets Hornet stick to walls and reduces the risk of falling.
How to Get Double Jump in Silksong

To reach Mount Fay, you must first unlock access to The Slab. There are two ways:
- Progress normally through the Choral Chambers to reach The Slab.
- Be “captured” and taken directly to The Slab.
Even though the second option skips Choral Chambers, you’ll still need to visit there later to learn the Clawline skill, which is required to scale Mount Fay.
Exploring Mount Fay & Unlock Double Jump In Silksong
The climb to the top of Mount Fay is one of the hardest platforming challenges in the game. Here’s the breakdown of the main steps:
Step 1: Start at Shakra’s Bench

Head left over the frozen lake and leap between floating platforms. Use Hornet’s hook to grab hoops and enemies as you ascend.
Step 2: Crumbling Platforms & Hoops

Jump across platforms that break after a short delay, then hook onto enemies and hoops to reach higher spots. Use wall jumps to move between ledges until you find a warm rest point.
Step 3: Spike Chambers

Float carefully through spike-filled sections, hook enemies to stay airborne, and keep moving quickly until you reach the next warm spot.
Step 4: Frozen Lakes & Hidden Paths

Hop across frozen lakes using enemies and hoops. Avoid unnecessary fights and conserve health. Keep repeating the cycle of moving between enemies, platforms, and warm spots until you reach a tower checkpoint.
Step 5: Tower & Bench

Inside the tower, you’ll find a hidden bench if you break a wall. Rest here if you can afford the Rosaries to unlock it.
Step 6: Endless Platforming Tests

From here, the climb repeats with more spikes, breakable platforms, floating rocks, and enemy hooks. Mistiming one jump often means restarting, so patience is key. Each warm spot offers a short break before the next brutal stretch.
Step 7: Final Air Current

At the very top, find the air current on the left side. Ride it up, and Hornet will finally reach the chamber where she can claim the Faydown Cloak, granting her the Double Jump in Silksong.
