How to Unlock the Training Area in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Training Area is located inside the main Base Camps of each hunting region in Monster Hunter Wilds. You don’t have to reach a certain level or defeat a specific monster to access it. Just head to the Base Camp, and you can start practicing against a stationary dummy.

For example, during the beta, you can find the Training Area at the back of the Base Camp. The entrance is near the sand-sailing boat, which is called the Dragonship in the game’s story.

Here’s how to get there from the Windward Plains Base Camp:

Turn around.
Walk straight until you reach the Dragonship.
Turn to your right.

You’ll see the entrance to the Training Area lit up by torches. It looks like a cave entrance with a cloth canopy on top.

There will likely be other Training Areas in places like Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, and Iceshard Cliffs. We’ll update this article once the full game is out.

Once you’re inside the Training Area, you’ll meet the High Purrformance Barrel Puncher target dummy.
