The Kurast Under City in Diablo 4 is a multi-stage dungeon that will push your character to the limit. From exploring the Nahantu region to discovering the Runewords, developers Blizzard have given fans some new content to check out in Vessel of Hatred, the latest is the Kurast Under City in D4. It’s also a great endgame activity in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, offering luxurious rewards that can boost your endgame build.
Here’s a guide to help you navigate the Kurast Under City in Diablo 4.
Kurast Under City in Diablo 4
The Kurast Undercity is part of the main expansion questline in the Vessel of Hatred. You’ll reach it as you progress through the story, specifically when you enter the city of Kurast. Kurast serves as the main hub of Nahantu and was also a key location in Diablo 2. Now, it returns with new challenges and treasures. The Kurast Under City is only accessible from Kurast, similar to how The Pit is only accessible through Cerrigar.
To enter the Kurast Under City, you need to complete a side quest that unlocks this feature. The quest is a bit long but will help you get familiar with the area.
Endgame Kurast Undercity Runs
After completing the side quest, you can enhance your Kurast Under City runs using a Tribute and a Bargain. To do this, click on the Spirit Brazier or the entrance to the Kurast Under City and place these items.
- Tributes: These provide reward boosts for your run and require a Tribute, a special currency for the Kurast Undercity.
- Bargains: These allow you to aim for specific rewards but will cost you crafting materials.
The Kurast Undercity is a great place to use up your extra crafting materials to earn more rewards.
Clearing the Kurast Under City
Speed is crucial in the Kurast Under City. You need a fast build to clear the dungeon efficiently; otherwise, you risk losing the rewards and the Tributes and crafting materials you used to enhance the run.
The Kurast Under City has three floors. On each floor, you’ll find several blue Beacons that you need to activate and clear to maximize your reward tier, aiming for Tier 4. You have 60+ seconds for each floor, and you can extend this time by defeating afflicted enemies marked in orange. However, it’s often better to focus on activating all the Beacons, as the time-afflicted monsters can be tough and not worth the effort.
Movement speed is essential in this dungeon, so save your mobility skills for dashing to the portals once you’ve activated all the Beacons on a floor.
Once you reach the boss, you no longer have to worry about time pressure in the Kurast Under City in Diablo 4. Focus on defeating the boss to complete your run and claim your rewards.
