Mario Kart World Unlocks

Mario Kart World Characters

There are 50 playable characters in Mario Kart World. This includes 24 main characters like Mario, Luigi, and Peach, and 26 side characters such as Goomba, Piranha Plant, and Dry Bones.

To unlock characters, you need to complete certain Grand Prix cups or use special items in races. Each character has a specific way to unlock them, and you can track your progress in the game’s character menu.

Mario Kart World Outfits

There are 103 unlockable outfits for main characters. Outfits are unlocked by collecting Dash Food bags, which you find in Free Roam and on courses. Different types of food unlock different outfits, so you’ll need to explore many areas to get them all.

Mario Kart World Karts

There are 40 karts and vehicles to unlock. You unlock karts by collecting coins as you play. For every 100 coins you collect, a new kart becomes available at random. You’ll need a total of 3,000 coins to unlock every vehicle in the game.

Special Cup and Rainbow Road

At first, you’ll see seven Cups in Grand Prix: Mushroom, Flower, Star, Shell, Banana, Leaf, and Lightning. After you finish all seven, you unlock the secret eighth Cup, called the Special Cup. This cup includes tracks like Acorn Heights, Mario Circuit, Peach Stadium, and Rainbow Road.

Mario Kart World Mirror Mode

The game starts with 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc modes unlocked. But there’s also Mirror Mode, which flips all the Grand Prix tracks, making them run backwards.
