We’ve placed all the characters in 5 categories, from worst to best:
- D-Tier: Weak picks to avoid.
- C-Tier: Characters not in a good place.
- B-Tier: Good in either 1v1 or 2v2 but not both.
- A-Tier: Great picks with minor drawbacks.
- S-Tier: The best character choices.

Strongest Characters in MultiVersus Ranked Worst to Best
D-Tier MultiVersus Characters
Black Adam
Despite his strength in the DC Universe with long-lasting combos, shield, and recovery, Black Adam isn’t great in MultiVersus. He’s not a good pick even in 2v2 due to being one of the slowest characters in the game with long cooldowns.
Steven Universe
Steven has good combos and a decent shield but struggles on his own. He’s better in a duo but very weak in 1v1.
C-Tier MultiVersus Characters
Reindog
Reindog is decent in 2v2 but weak in solo battles. With no cooldown on projectiles, Reindog has a good stage presence.
LeBron James
LeBron has okay damage and combos but lacks in recovery.
Taz
Taz was strong during Beta testing but has fallen off after some nerfs.
B-Tier MultiVersus Characters
Finn
Finn is versatile with great combos and can counter many match-ups. However, he needs to stay on the ground to perform well as he has a small hitbox.
Bugs Bunny
Bugs is better in 2v2 but still a decent pick. Your performance will depend on your skill as he has infinite combos and good screen control. However, his attacks are light and his recovery is difficult.
Shaggy
Shaggy is predictable but strong with decent damage and good combos.
Tom & Jerry
Great at zoning but lack recovery and are lightweight.
Velma
Velma is amazing in 2v2 but weak in 1v1.
Morty
Morty is a menace in 2v2 with huge hitboxes, but is weak in solo fights.
A-Tier MultiVersus Characters
Batman
Batman is fast and deals great damage due to his screen control and OP Bat Bomb. However, he relies heavily on his Batarang.
Aria
Aria has insane combos and great speed. She’s good in both 1v1 and 2v2. However, it’s the projectiles that create problems for her.
Garnet
Garnet is a balanced and versatile character with amazing combos that can shut down projectiles. However, Garnet is way too dependent on her armor.
Rick
Rick has a lot of utility and decent recovery but relies too much on his portals.
S-Tier MultiVersus Characters
Harley Quinn
Harley is a top-tier character with insane combos and OP damage. She can juggle opponents and is very difficult to catch. Her only weakness is that her attacks are a bit light.
Superman
Superman is insanely strong and hard to deal with.
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman relies on armor and has amazing combos. She’s very reliable.
Jake
Jake remains dominant even after nerfs. He excels in 1v1 with fun and powerful combos with insane damage. Although he is not great in 2v2, Jake is still a reliable character.
