The Nintendo Switch version of Hi-Fi Rush has received a rating in Europe, hinting at the game’s imminent release on the popular handheld console. The Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board is responsible for rating software in Europe, and their recent rating of Hi-Fi Rush Switch strongly suggests that players will soon be able to enjoy the game on their Switch devices.
Originally released on PC and Xbox in January 2023, Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm-based action game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. It quickly gained popularity as one of four Microsoft first-party games to be published on the PS5.

Despite rumors circulating about a Nintendo Switch version of Hi-Fi Rush, it had yet to be officially confirmed until now. However, assets discovered in an update for Hi-Fi Rush hinted at the addition of three new outfits for the main character, including a red one specifically tailored for the Hi-Fi Rush Switch version. This recent news further fueled speculation about the game’s release on the Switch.
What is Hi-Fi Rush?
Hi-Fi Rush follows the journey of Chai, a self-proclaimed “future rock star” whose life takes a dramatic turn after experimental cybernetic surgery embeds a music player in his chest. Voiced by Robbie Daymond in English and Hiro Shimono in Japanese, Chai discovers newfound abilities that allow him to rhythmically fight and perceive the world through environmental synesthesia.
Hi-Fi Switch Gameplay
In Hi-Fi Rush, players are immersed in a rhythmic battle where Chai, his adversaries, and even environmental elements groove to the beat. While attacking in sync with the rhythm isn’t mandatory, players can boost damage output and execute timing-based combo finishers by nailing button presses with precision. A well-timed parry maneuver allows players to counter enemy assaults with finesse, disrupting opponent attacks with expert timing.
Beyond the beat-em-up combat, Hi-Fi Rush offers engaging rhythm-based minigames, requiring players to replicate cues in call-and-response sequences or follow rhythmic button prompts on-screen.
