For anyone new to the service: the Game Catalog is a rotating library of downloadable titles offered to subscribers in the Extra and Premium tiers. It’s where you’ll find an exclusive collection of past hits, hidden gems, and recent releases which are updated monthly. The PlayStation Plus games for 2025 include a lot of entries that are worth checking out.

One of the most talked-about additions this month is Sand Land. Designed by the late Akira Toriyama, yes, the same visionary behind Dragon Ball Z, it brings his iconic art style into a dusty action RPG. Players take control of a misfit crew, including a demon prince and a tank, roaming through a sunbaked world that’s full of wonders and horrors.

Battlefield V also makes its way to the catalog, throwing players into  World War II combat zones. It’s still one of the most adrenaline-heavy shooters out there, and with its focus on team-based warfare, it is a strong pick for multiplayer fans.

Then there’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, an abrasive, atmospheric FPS collection set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The series is known for its tense survival mechanics, scary environments, and a level of immersion that hits differently even years after release.

If you’re more into one-on-one chaos, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising offers fast-paced matches and chic character art. It’s designed to be approachable but still has enough depth for serious players.

Other titles joining the catalog include Soul Hackers 2, Humankind, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition, and a fresh edition of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted.

Whether you’re into world-building, world-ending, or just want to farm in peace, PlayStation’s May catalog is stacked.
