This year has already seen some amazing games, gamers have been spoiled with amazing titles, like Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 16, Starfield, and many more. And with the upcoming games for the second half of the year prove that there is still a lot to be excited about. There are many new titles fans are dying to get their hands on and without further ado, here is our list of the top 10 upcoming 2023 games that you should be hyped for (this list is in no particular order):
Mortal Kombat 1
The Fighting Game Community has been getting spoiled lately, with the most recent release of Street Fighter 6, King of Fighter XV, and the to-be-released Tekken 8. Mortal Kombat 1 is coming with a new twist in the story as it will be in a new era created by the fire god, Liu Kang. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 14th.
Lies Of P
A souls game that does not seem to be a souls game at first, Lies of P is based on the famous Carlo Collodi story, Pinocchio, where you are a puppet created by Geppetto, surrounded by a world of lies and terrifying creatures in search of your creator. Lies of P will be available on September 19th, playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Witchfire
If Remnant From The Ashes, or the newer version Remnant IIrrrrrr had a first-person counterpart, it would be Witchfire, which is a first-person shooter souls game in which you hunt a witch for your salvation. Witchfire is to be released on September 20 and will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Payday 3
Highly anticipated, the Payday series’ third addition and the sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooter games, Payday 3 brings you back into a life of crime with the payday gang. It will be available on the 21st of September on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed‘s stealth factor started to fall off halfway through the series, but it is said that on October 5th, an entire week earlier than its original release date, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be bringing back the way the original Assassin’s Creed stealth worked. Alan Wake 2
Gaining a lot of attention at Gamescom with their demo, and with the game conveying the story from two different points of view, Alan Wake 2 is a must-buy, which you can purchase starting from October 27th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Lords Of The Fallen (2023)
A sequel to Lords of The Fallen (2014), it is said to be the first new-gen souls-like game, and previously CI Games claimed that this open-world game will be five times larger than the original 2014 game. It will be released on October 13th, and you will be able to play it on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 2023
Activision has finally been bought by Microsoft, and it seems like this is the first big thing from Activision since the deal closed. Modern Warfare 3 (2023) will either be something to die for or something that’s gonna die. It will be released on November 10th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Ghostrunner 2
Ghostrunner 2 is a fast-paced first-person hack-and-slash game with some really sick mechanics. It is available to pre-order on the Epic Games store, and it is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 26th.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Likely the most anticipated game for the second half of 2023, Spider-Man 2 has seen a bunch of reveals here and there with the trailer to build even more hype showing off the new symbiotes and the mechanics related to the new addition to the Spider-Man games series, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released on October 20 exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
If you were waiting to see another game that you had been following appear on this list but a release date has yet to be decided, worry not for there are still spots open for games for the final two months of 2023.
