Silent Hill developer and industry veteran Keiichiro Toyama is working on a brand new “large-scale project” that is likely to be another horror title. The Slitterhead developer has reached out to the community, asking for some helping hands. The Bokeh Game Studios is looking to hire creative game developers to work on the upcoming ambitious title, following in the footsteps of one of the greatest horror games ever made, Silent Hill.
The new under-development title is currently beyond the planning stage and ready for full-scale development. But the release date of the unannounced title is likely years down the road. Slitterhead was the launchpad for the future of the relatively new game development company, and set up the approach that the studio plans to use for all of its future projects.
In the Bokeh Game Studios statement, he discussed the process of making a new game and the goal to make something unique and interesting, instead of following industry trends. Toyama also said that he had put all other smaller projects on hold for the time, but they will hopefully see the light of day sometime in the future.
Keiichiro Toyama & The Future of Bokeh Game Studios

The acclaimed developer’s last game, Slitterhead, came out to significant criticism, but still ended up in the good graces of the players.
Following in the footsteps of Hideo Kojima, who left Konami and formed his own studio, he went on to release genre-defining hits like Death Stranding and blazed his own trail in the industry. The same could be possible for Toyama.
Toyama previously told Famitsu that he was working on something new, but did not give any further details until now. He did mention that the upcoming game would not be a sequel to Slitterhead, but instead would be a brand new IP. But he also confirmed that a Slitterhead sequel is not entirely off the table.
