So recently a well-known leaker, MyTimeToShineH, has posted a claim that the next Red Dead Redemption game is in the works. Although MyTimeToShineH usually focuses on leaks related to movies and has only a handful of posts about video games, this person’s movie-related posts are mostly accurate. The timing for the Red Dead Redemption 3 leaks also makes sense, as there are already rumors out and about that GTA VI is going to be released soon which is good competition for Starfield, Bethesda’s first big release after coming under Microsoft. GTA VI getting closer to release would mean that Rockstar is looking to move on to another project.
Speculations Regarding Red Dead Redemption 3 Leaks
Theories presented after the Red Dead Redemption 3 leaks suggest that it will most likely be a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption game. That would mean that Red Dead Redemption 3 would be taking place around the time the Van Der Linde Gang first came about or maybe even before their time. It is also possible that the Van Der Linde Gang will not be the focus of the game at all, rather it would bring about the origins of the gang to us from a different perspective through a series of other events which the game will be about.
If Rockstar has started to work on the new project, as the Red Dead Redemption 3 leaks suggest, then if we’re lucky then we will have the game by around 2026 at the very least, but a higher probability of it being released in 2029-2030 as it is almost certain to be a triple-A game to be a worthy successor to Red Dead Redemption 2, and all triple-A games take years to develop, occasionally a decade like Prey and Final Fantasy 15.
