Developers Fen Research Limited’s new point-and-click RPG has a lot of side quests. We’ve already covered the Spiders Nest and The Lost Shipment, now let’s talk about The Obelisk in Brighter Shores. This mission lets you get a powerful sword while exploring new areas in the city. However, navigating the large and interconnected town can be confusing.

The Obelisk in Brighter Shores
To start The Obelisk in Brighter Shores, talk to Commander Hackett. You’ll find him standing on top of the city wall above the Town Gates. This area is on the eastern side of the map. Follow these steps to reach him:
- From the Training Ground, head south to Town Square.
- Go east and enter Old West Street.
- Pass through Old Street East to reach Town Gates.
- Head north to enter the North Wall and climb the stairs.
- Walk south to speak with Commander Hackett.
Commander Hackett will offer you some new swords he has just received from another city. Unfortunately, the key to the chest containing the swords has been stolen by a goblin. You need to defeat this enemy, but be careful as it is at Level 10. I managed to win at Level 4, but my character was nearly defeated by the end of the battle.
How to Fix Hopeport Obelisk
Your next task in The Obelisk in Brighter Shores is to find the Hopeport Obelisk so you can tune the swords and equip them. To find this location, return to the Town Square. Then, head west to reach Brannof Boulevard and walk south to find the Hopeport Obelisk.
Examine the magical tool and discover that it is broken. Channette will tell you to find a missing piece of the Obelisk by the river. To get that item, go to Wilhope Crossing by following this path:
- Return to Town Square and head south.
- When you reach Eel Street, turn east.
- At Wilhope Crossing, look north to find the missing piece.
Once you have the missing piece of the Hopeport Obelisk, return to the magical tool location and try to fix it. Unfortunately, something is still wrong, and you need to find an expert to decode the instruction tablet. Talk to Naybeth, who lives near the Town Gates.
Naybeth will give you four sigils that you need to place on the stone pedestals around the Hopeport Obelisk. If you forget the correct position of the sigils, examine the tablet again. Once you’ve placed the sigils correctly, you will summon a Cryoknight.
The mage cannot use their magic to fix the structure because they’re suppressed. Your final task is to return to the Training Ground and speak with Anjay. He will solve the issue, allowing you to tune the swords at the Hopeport Obelisk. To complete The Obelisk quest, speak with Commander Hackett again at the Town Gates. Here are the rewards you will receive:
- Unlock the Hopeport Obelisk
- Uncommon Wall Guard’s Sword
- Guard EXP x10,600
