DayZ 1.22 Update 2: A Tiny Patch With A Big Impact

DayZ 1.22 update 2 has arrived, and here are all the changes and improvements mentioned in the patch notes. This hotfix is quite a small update, with only two fixes for all platforms while there are also changes to the modding side of DayZ. There have been many experimental updates leading up to this point, that have been tweaked with the optimizations of the game. with the best one being the third update. Adding a lot to the game beforehand, and needing only a few touches from this update, here is the complete list of DayZ patch notes for 1.22 update 2:

DayZ 1.22 Update 2

Downtime will last approximately an hour, and the schedule for it is below:

  • PC servers will go down at 13:00 CEST.
  • Console servers will go down at 14:00 CEST.

FIXED

  • Fixed a bug where the firearm became unusable when closing the bolt with an empty magazine loaded
  • Fixed a bug which broke the placement of objects in the world

MODDING (PC)

  • Added: ‘DayZPhysics.EntityOverlapSingleBullet’ to only check collision against a single entity
  • Fixed: ‘DayZPhysics.EntityOverlapBullet’ would not work when the passed in entity was a skeleton (e.g. House)
  • Fixed: Event ‘EEOnHitByRemote’ would not fire for firearm shots
