A recent leak regarding PlayStation Plus free game additions indicates that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, a first-party title, will be included in the Extra tier of the subscription service. Although the official announcements for April’s Extra and Premium tier updates are scheduled for later today, Billil-kun has disclosed three of the featured titles in advance. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be added to the Extra tier next week, alongside The Crew Motorfest and Football Manager 26.
Horizon Zero Dawn is a multi-award-winning action role-playing game that follows the protagonist, Aloy, as she navigates an expansive open world populated by animal-like robots, many of which are affected by a powerful corruption. Its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, was released in 2022, and the chances of a third installment are fairly high considering the success of the franchise..

What Can You Expect from Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered?
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on the PlayStation 5 is expected to come with higher resolution support, improved texture quality, better frame rates, and possibly even ray tracing support. The leaked remastered edition offers both returning fans and new players, particularly those who played the sequel first, the opportunity to give the original title a shot in its best form.
The Crew Motorfest, released in 2024, is an open-world driving game developed by Ubisoft. The title features over 20 themed campaigns, allowing players to participate in a variety of activities, including street, off-road, and drifting. Upon release, the game received positive reviews from critics and achieved a score of 76 on Metacritic.
Football Manager 26 is a football management simulation video game developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. However, this latest entry has faced challenges, drawing criticism from both reviewers and players for performance issues. Several patches have been released since launch, which may have addressed earlier performance concerns. The game is now available at no additional cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Aside from the inclusion of the first-party title Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, April’s PlayStation Plus free games lineup is relatively modest. These three titles should be available for download beginning Tuesday, 21 April, with the complete Extra and Premium tier lineup to be announced later today. And as always, since this is not an official announcement, it is best to take it with a healthy helping of salt.
