This summer, GTA Online brings out The Kortz Center Heist. Team up with Mr. Faber and Raf De Angelis to pull off a massive heist at the Kortz Center, a stunning cliffside museum and research hub in Pacific Bluffs, just northwest of Los Santos. The goal? Secure the museum’s most prized collection for yourself. Think of it as GTA’s version of the Louvre heist. To get started, you’ll need 1-4 players, an $11,500,000 Mansion, a $4,700,000 Art Studio, and $25,000 for setup. The potential payout ranges from $304,500 to $481,250.
How to Start The GTA Online Kortz Center Heist?
Like every GTA Online heist, there’s a specific way to get started. First, you’ll need to purchase one of the three available Mansions from the Safehouse in the Hills update, since owning a Mansion is required before you can unlock the Art Studio. The Art Studio is a brand-new room you can add to your Mansion by visiting the Prix Luxury Real Estate website in-game (as shown above) and spending $4,700,000. If you reached Tier 3: Elitist in the Fine Art Collector program before the update, you’ll get a $1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio. GTA+ members are luckier and can stack an additional $1,000,000 discount on top of that.
After buying the Art Studio, head to your Mansion. At the entrance, you’ll see an Art Studio option in the menu, select it to enter. On your first visit, you’ll get a cutscene with Mr. Faber and Raf introducing the heist. Once that’s done, you can invite friends to check out your Art Studio. You’ll also unlock the heist planning board, which lists your setup tasks, target painting, and rewards. Make sure you’re registered as a CEO before interacting with the whiteboard to start the scouting mission. If you haven’t done that yet, take care of it before heading in.
What Are The GTA Online Kortz Center Heist Prep Missions?
Next up are the prep missions. You don’t have to visit your Art Studio to get started, just call Raf on your in-game phone, and you’ll see a list of available missions. There are 6 mandatory prep missions to complete, plus 5 optional ones if you want to go the extra mile. The 5 mandatory prep missions listed on the planning board are:
- Infiltration Gear
- Unmarked Weapons
- Getaway Vehicle
- Access Code
- Hacking Device
You don’t need to finish the optional missions to reach the Finale, but doing them gives you more loadout choices and can boost your secondary painting haul, which means a bigger payout.
When you do visit your Art Studio, you’ll find a counterfeiter hard at work, creating forged pieces to swap with the originals during the heist. This artist-in-residence will help you prep for the job. As you get ready, gear and tech will pile up in your Art Studio, and you and your crew can pick from this stash to build your custom loadout for the Finale.
How To Tackle The Kortz Center Heist Scouting Mission
Now, circling back to the scouting mission. Start by interacting with your heist planning board, which will send you straight to the Kortz Center for reconnaissance. If you own the Richman Villa, you’ll get there faster since it’s nearby. Once you arrive, park outside, head past the admission area, and look for the art exhibition entrance at the rear left of the terrace.
Inside, make your way to the staff room on the right, avoiding security cameras and keeping an eye on the camera cones on your minimap. Try not to get spotted by guards. While getting caught won’t fail the mission, staying hidden makes the rest of the heist much smoother. Quietly take out the guard in the staff room to make your mission easier.
After that, upload the AI to the computer. This gives you access to the camera feeds, so you can find your primary target on the Vault camera and spot secondary paintings to increase your total payout.
Before leaving, be sure to photograph every painting on display to get valuations for the secondary targets. Also, scout for alternate entry points; there’s a manhole for sewer access, among other options. The Staff Entrance behind the art exhibition is the main infiltration point, but finding extra routes during your scout can really help during the Finale.
Can You Play The Kortz Center Heist Solo?
If you’re planning to play solo, you can absolutely take on the heist alone. Just keep in mind that solo play is more challenging and limits how many secondary targets you can collect during the heist. Fewer players means fewer paintings carried out, so your total take will be smaller. The upside is you keep the full payout for yourself, but unless you’re very experienced, bringing at least one more player makes things much easier.
