As you follow the path, be cautious of enemies. Continue until you reach another gate. Open the gate to trigger a cinematic scene introducing the Second Rat Prince (the large one) and the King Rat (the smaller one).
How to Defeat the Second Rat Prince in Black Myth: Wukong
In this battle, Black Myth: Wukong gives you a choice: defeat the Second Rat Prince or the King Rat. Here’s what happens based on your decision:
- Defeating the Second Rat Prince: If you choose to defeat the Second Rat Prince, the King Rat will flee the scene. Chasing him will eventually lead you to a battle with the First Prince of Flowing Sands, another formidable boss.
- Defeating the King Rat First: If you decide to take down the King Rat first, the Second Rat Prince will go berserk, becoming even more powerful. This will make the fight more challenging, but if you succeed in defeating both, you’ll earn an item that allows you to summon the First Prince of Flowing Sands.
Strategy to Defeat the Second Rat Prince
It’s generally easier to defeat the Second Rat Prince before focusing on the King Rat. This way, the King Rat won’t have time to power up his son with the enraging buff. While fighting the Second Rat Prince, the King Rat will climb pillars and throw rocks at you from above. Use Charged Attacks to knock down these pillars and stop him.
Focus on dodging the Second Rat Prince’s attacks. Utilize Red Tiles and Immobilize abilities to slow him down and gain the upper hand in the fight. After defeating the Second Rat Prince, you’ll receive valuable items like the Yaoguai Core, Blood of the Iron Bull Stone Spirit, and Silk.
