To unlock it, you’ll need to complete a challenging Easter egg quest called the Blood Ritual. The quest involves finding two statue heads, placing them on their respective statues, and surviving a brutal fight with only 1 HP. It’s a tough challenge, but the reward is well worth the effort.
Step 1: Prepare for the Blood Ritual
Before starting the quest, make sure you’re fully prepared. The Blood Ritual is one of the hardest challenges in The Tomb, so you’ll need to gear up:
- Tier 3 Armor
- Pack-A-Punched Weapon
- Throwables
Step 2: Find the Statue Heads
The first step in the quest is to locate the two statue heads. Both of these can be found in the Dark Aether Nexus area of the map.
Statue Head 1
Unlock the Dark Aether Nexus and head to the Juggernog perk machine. Look for a wooden box in front of the machine. Melee the box, and it will drop the first statue head. Press and hold the interact button to pick it up.
Statue Head 2
Enter the Dark Aether Nexus through the green portal. Stick to the wall on your right and look for another wooden box.
Once you’ve collected both statue heads, return to the spawn area of the map. There are two statues here where you’ll need to place the heads:
- First Statue: Located near the ammo cache.
- Second Statue: Found in front of the Pack-A-Punch machine and the blue portal.
Press the interact button beside each statue to place the heads.
Step 3: Start the Blood Ritual
Hold the interact button beside the statues to activate the Blood Ritual. Once the ritual begins, you’ll be reduced to 1 HP and have to fight off waves of zombies and elite enemies while surviving with only 1 HP. Once you’ve completed both Blood Rituals and defeated all the zombies, the Golden Armor will become available.
The Golden Armor can be picked up for free in the spawn area. With the Golden Armor equipped, your shield meter will automatically regenerate, giving you a huge advantage in surviving the rest of the map.
