Before you can start farming for Koumei, there are a couple of things you need to unlock:

  1. Unlock Earth and the Cetus node.
  2. Complete the “Saya’s Vision” quest by speaking to Saya in Cetus.

If you’re a new player, this might require finishing the introductory mission on Cetus, which takes about 30 minutes. After that, you’ll be able to talk to Saya to start the “Saya’s Vision” quest, which unlocks the farming area for Koumei.

  6. Defeat the boss.

You don’t need to defend the shrine itself, but you must keep certain spots clear of enemies to prevent the mission timer from stopping. Having more players in your squad can speed up the process significantly.

Shrine Defense Rewards

After completing a Shrine Defense mission, you’ll receive resources that are key to farming the Koumei Warframe:

  • 14-18 Fate Pearls
  • 20-24 Fate Pearls on Steel Path difficulty
  • A low chance of receiving a Koumei blueprint

Saving Fate Pearls for Koumei

To buy all of Koumei’s parts, you will need a total of 330 Fate Pearls. It’s a good idea to save your Fate Pearls until you reach this number before trying to buy any blueprints. While there is a small chance you might get a Koumei blueprint as a drop during Shrine Defense, saving up your Fate Pearls ensures you can buy the blueprint if you’re not lucky.

Once you have 330 Fate Pearls, head back to Saya in Cetus on Earth. You can use the “Offer Fate Pearls” option to purchase Koumei’s blueprints from her.

Additional Costs and Crafting Time

After collecting the blueprints, you will need an additional 102 Fate Pearls to craft Koumei in the Foundry. In total, you’ll need to farm 432 Fate Pearls to fully unlock and craft it.
