It’s a good idea to complete the Knights of the Nine DLC first, but you can start Shivering Isles anytime after the tutorial. Just remember, your character should be strong enough to handle the challenges ahead.
Step 2: Visit the Strange Door
After the tutorial, head to the Strange Door island in Niben Bay. This island is off the east coast of The Heartlands. The closest town is Bravil, which is the best place to fast travel to.
From Bravil, exit the town gates and swim to the island in the middle of the bay. Look for the head-shaped rock that marks the Strange Door.
Approaching the door will automatically start the quest called “A Door in Niben Bay.”
Step 3: Talk to the NPCs at the Strange Door
