Rumors have been going on about a Rayman Legends remake, and with the recent logo leak, we now know it will be called Rayman Legends: Retold. Adding to the anticipation, a fresh leak hints that Ubisoft could also be preparing a remaster of Rayman Origins for modern platforms, possibly signaling a bigger comeback for the beloved action-platform series.
An Xbox Store listing that surfaced briefly suggests that a remaster of Ubisoft’s 2011 platformer Rayman Origins is on the way. Archived by quick-eyed social media users, the listing reveals that ‘Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition‘ will offer 4K visuals at 60fps, updated quality-of-life features, and even content that was once exclusive to the PS Vita.
This store listing follows a report mentioning that Ubisoft is also working on a major remake of the 2013 hit, Rayman Legends. Well-known gaming news leaker Dealabs claims that ‘Rayman Legends Retold’ is in development at Ubisoft Montpellier, with a release targeted for October.
One of the standout new features of the retold is expected to be online co-op multiplayer for up to four players at once. The original only supported offline multiplayer, so this would be a big step forward. Dealabs also reports that Legends Retold will get a physical release for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, with an official reveal likely coming during this week’s PlayStation State of Play on June 2.

Rayman Origins Remaster And Rayman Legends Retold Hint At Ubisoft’s Bigger Plans
If both games launch this year, it would wrap up a busy 12 months for Rayman, who just marked his 30th anniversary in February with a retro game collection from Digital Eclipse. The Rayman revival could go even further. Last year, Ubisoft was seen hiring for a new ‘AAA’ Rayman project, with job ads referencing a major title for the franchise. These ads, now removed but saved by Reddit users, suggest that something big could be in the works.
Ubisoft has yet to comment on the rumors, and neither Rayman Origins Remaster nor Rayman Legends Retold has been officially confirmed. While RetroNoob has reached out to the company for their comments, it’s best to take such leaks with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.
