One of the fastest selling games, even on Xbox Game Pass, players are still wondering where to find Atacamite in Subnautica 2, the good news is it’s more accessible than it sounds once you’re set up for deeper dives. As long as you have access to the Alien Ruins and you bring the right gear, you can gather Subnautica 2 Atacamite quickly and in decent amounts. But before you do, open the character menu and enable all landmark signals. It makes tracking the spots mentioned below much easier.
Without further ado, here’s our guide on where to find Atacamite in Subnautica 2.
Where to find Atacamite in Subnautica 2

Atacamite deposits look a lot like quartz or titanium at a glance, but they’re darker in color. You’ll find Subnautica 2 Atacamite around the Alien Ruins region, which becomes available after you’ve investigated the Tadpole Pens. The deposits start appearing at roughly 300 meters deep or deeper.
You’ll also need a sonic resonator to break the boulders that contain the deposits.
It’s strongly recommended to install the first depth module on your Tadpole so you don’t have to do the entire dive by swimming. However, you can still farm Atacamite without going all the way down in the vehicle. A workable method is to park the Tadpole at around 250 meters, then swim the rest of the way down to the 300m layer to mine the deposits. If you do that, bring oxygen-saving equipment like an advanced air tank or a rebreather so you don’t burn your dive timer too quickly.
Once collected, Atacamite is used at the processor to craft mangalloy ingots. The recipe uses one Atacamite, one titanium, and one troilite, and it takes 30 seconds per ingot.
Best Subnautica 2 Atacamite Farming Location

The best dedicated farming route for where to find Atacamite in Subnautica 2 is about 220 meters east of the Alien Ruins, right around the 300-meter depth mark. If you spot a large alien wreck on the seabed, you’re in the right neighborhood. The sandy floor around that wreck tends to have a lot of deposits scattered through it, including both quartz and Subnautica 2 Atacamite.
If you still need more, keep heading east toward the nearby Angel Comb.
There’s a large crater beneath a massive alien structure there (look for the drop-shaped structure in the middle). Swim around the large purple root inside the crater and you’ll find even more Atacamite deposits concentrated in that area.
And that’s all you need to know on where to find Atacamite in Subnautica 2. For more Subnautica 2 content, stay tuned to RetroNoob.
