Xbox, now officially going by XBOX (massive change, I know), seems to be gearing up for the release of its new Cloud Gaming mode. Recently, images have surfaced online, showing off two new controllers: the Elite Series 3 and what is apparently called the XBOX Cloud Gaming controller.
According to these images, which were posted by Tecnoblog, Microsoft is preparing two new peripherals. One continues the popular premium controller line, while the other introduces a new category of controllers for the brand.

What Do The Unannounced New Xbox Controllers Feature?
The XBOX Cloud Controller is designed with a flat rectangular pad and two compact grips on each side. It includes all the standard Xbox controller buttons, but in a noticeably smaller size. Notably, the triggers and shoulder buttons resemble those found on Joy-Con controllers. At the top, there is a new button beside a cloud logo, suggesting its intended use for cloud gaming.
This development aligns with earlier reports that XBOX was working on a controller capable of connecting to games over Wi-Fi. The goal is to support users who stream games to devices beyond the traditional XBOX console.
The Elite Series 3 controller maintains the familiar shape of its predecessor but now includes two small silver scrolling wheels at the base. While their exact function is not confirmed, they may allow players to switch between controller layout profiles, similar to features found on the DualSense Edge. The controller will reportedly include a 500mAh battery and will use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6 for connectivity.
XBOX has been accelerating its efforts recently, introducing frequent updates such as reduced Game Pass prices, renewed focus on XBOX exclusives, and the decision not to launch new Call of Duty titles on last-generation consoles. Combined with the upcoming Cloud Gaming mode and these two new XBOX controllers, these moves may help renew the brand.
