Star Wars Outlaws Story Trailer Set to Drop Next Week

The official Star Wars Outlaws story trailer is set to release on YouTube next week. Ubisoft has uploaded the teaser trailer and scheduled it to premiere on April 9th at Noon ET,  9am PT on Tuesday ahead of its showcase at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th. Whether you’re a console gamer or a PC purist, this upcoming open-world third-person-shooter from Massive Entertainment should be a great addition for Star Wars fans. Star Wars Outlaws will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Claiming to be the beloved franchise’s first-ever open-world game, fans can’t wait to see how Star Wars Outlaws lets player explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new in a story set between the events of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

What to Expect in the Star Wars Outlaws Story Trailer?

Based on first looks, the story will follow Kay Vess, “an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life.” Let’s hope she not another one of Disney and Kathleen Kennedy’s strong female character aka “Girl-Boss.” Joining Kay is her cute little companion Nix, and a badass looking commando droid as you fight, steal, and outsmart your way through crime syndicates and become the galaxy’s most wanted.

Since the game is set between Episode 5 and 6, there is high chance of seeing some iconic characters like Han Solo, Bobba Fett, and big bad Darth Vader.

Ubisoft Answers Star Wars Fans’ Prayers

Fans have been asking for an open-world Star Wars game for ages, until Ubisoft finally answered everyone’s prayers with the world premiere of Star Wars Outlaw last year. Ubisoft knows how to make sick cinematic CGI trailers, but there games are often a hit or miss, which is why a lot of fans were a bit skeptical about this one. That is until they saw the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer. Couple that with the repetitive Ubisoft design, fans are right to be concerned.

In the trailer, we got to see some promising gameplay that included shoot outs, a wanted system, choice-making cutscenes, and a space dog-fight where players can jump from one galaxy to another. Star Wars Outlaws is currently scheduled to release in late 2024 or possibly early 2025 since no official date has been announced yet.
